Pirihima Whānau Trust (Papamoa A14) Sports, Education, and Cultural Grant is available only to beneficial owners as per the latest list of owners from the Māori Land Court, or registered beneficiaries of a Whānau Trust.
Applicants must be participating in, enrolled in, or contributing to an approved sports, education, or cultural activity/event.
You must attach the following to your completed application form:
Proof of participation or enrolment in the activity/event (i.e., acceptance letter, event registration confirmation, team selection letter, course enrolment, or official invitation).
Copy of your identification (i.e., Driver’s licence, Passport, Birth certificate).
Bank confirmation of your bank account details (i.e., Bank stamped receipt, Bank statement, Deposit slip).
If you are a beneficiary of a Whānau Trust, please complete the bottom section of this form. Beneficiaries must be endorsed by a responsible trustee of the Whānau Trust.

International Representative: $500
National Representative: $350
Regional: $200
Education: University: $500
Secondary - Hardship Grant - School Fees & Stationary: $300
Primary - School Fees & Stationary: $200
To be eligible, all applicants must fulfil the following criteria: - Grants are only available to registered beneficiaries or direct descendants of a registered beneficiary - Grants are available all year round or until available funds are expended - Applications are limited to one per person per financial year (1 April-31 March)
Education, Sports & Cultural Grant procedure: 1. Grants are decided annually, and beneficiaries may apply on an annual basis. 2. Applicants must forward a completed Grant Application Form to the Trust Secretary for checking and approval by the Trustees 3. Incomplete forms will not be considered. 4. Applications are considered at the bi-monthly Board Meetings. Applicants should receive a response within 5 working days of the decision. 5. On approval, payments will be credited to the applicant’s bank account in a timely manner. 6. Applicants may be required to attend a future meeting of the Trust to present back to the Trustees/shareholders about how the grant supported them.
